We are looking to recruit several power project engineers to join the
power business team of our Transmission Network Division of
Energy Unit in Brighton.

Job description

The division is heavily involved in all aspects of power project
development, conventional power plants, renewable energy of wind,
biomass, transmission and distribution projects in China, as well as
the UK and numerous other overseas locations, working with a
diverse range of Clients including developers, utilities, governments,
major financing institutions and EPC contractors.
With experience of power plant or network operation, project
development, planning and power economics, the successful
candidate should be able to identify key issues within a complex
energy project, provide satisfactory business solutions to clients and
produce a focused report in English in short time-scales.
It is expected that the successful candidate should have a strong
commercial background, good communication skills to deal with
internal and external clients, be adaptable and prepared to work
under pressure to meet deadline. English and Chinese language
commands are required. Preferably work experience with Chinese
and international companies.

Candidate specification

Applicants should be educated to degree level, preferably chartered
and with extensive relevant experience, be prepared to undertake
short visits to China and other countries in a short notice as
required.
An innovative approach is essential to be successful in these roles,
together with a flexible attitude and willingness to work as part of a
multi-disciplinary team.
